We wish we had a campground right by the venue/City but the best we can offer for this distance to venue is a city street of friend’s yard. The City of Goodhue, over Volksfest weekend only, opens up the restrictions of parking campers in your yard and street. With this, feel free to leave it on the side of the street or if you know of someone in town that will let you use their yard, pull it right in. I again urge you to note the Sunday parade route if you’re using the street as whatever isn’t moved by 10am Sunday will be ticketed.
Looking for a formal campground? Not far, just 10 min down Hwy 58 toward Red Wing is the Hay Creek Campground, but they are known to fill fast so be sure to call and reserve your site early!
Although Hay Creek is the closest there are a few more in the surrounding area, some include: Shades of Sherwood, Bluff Valley, Sportsman’s Park, & Cannon Falls Campground.
